Cleaning cloth hood - W208 Cab

What is the best way to make my cloth roof look like new? It has a few mould/mildew spots that won't come off plus it appears to be lightened by the sun in some places. Rear edges have some mould marks too. So far I've tried normal washing, scrubbing with nailbrush and toothbrush, car shampoo...

    Tyre wear on rears

Had the car under a year and previous owner didn't look the sort to lower it. However it has aftermarket 18's on so it may be from years ago. Ride height looks about right - when you say tracking, what is adjustable on these on the rears, toe, caster, camber etc. etc. Have played with...

    Tyre wear on rears

I have a W208 320 and I'm having to replace the rear tyres. Both are worn on the inside edge which I thought strange. I know aggressive cornering will wear outside edges and tyre pressures can wear middle or both edges, but how do you wear an inside edge? Is camber adjustable on these? The wear...

Help, lost a belt and pulley looks knackered!!

OK, tensioner is on, it has the tension taken out and is pinned in place so I guess I fit the belt and then release the pin to take up the slack and tension the belt. No damper on mine, is that due to the cars age ? Should I be looking to fit one for the £30 they cost?

Audio equipment, Amp and sub box

I have a Caliber brand new amp for sale model CA 110.2 - runs 55W RMS per channel or bridged mono 150W RMS. It went on the car for about a week, maybe less and was too strong for the small sub it was running so put my old amp back in. It's boxed with instructions leads etc. etc. as new. Also...

Help, lost a belt and pulley looks knackered!!

OK, parts are here, belt and tensioner. Is there an online diagram for the route the belt takes, old one shredded so can't just copy it, may be obvious once I open the bonnet but a picture would be nice. Also, anyone fitted a tensioner who can put up basic steps, looks like the spring loaded...

Seat belt wet CLK Cab W208

Been keeping an eye on this and we haven't had a real downpour since my first post - hey presto the belts have dried out!! Are there any drain holes in the sills or bottom of the doors that need clearing periodically?

OK, had a search around on the internet including old threads here. Still undecided. 2 Main dealers are quoting same prices so I assume they are correct £210 give or take for the parts. Help, lost a belt and pulley looks knackered!!

On motorway last night and battery charge warning came on the dash, noticed as changing lanes that the steering had gotten heavier and then after another 20 minutes of "I can make it home before it dies" about every warning light came on and I lost power. Taken home on a low loaded as the belt...

Car not turning over - intermittent

Hi BlackC55 , yes it's a 320 !!! I'm even further away than Doug - will this be commonly known about at independant garages if it's a known problem? Doug - where are you as I'm about an hour'ish north of Nottingham, sounds like we could do with finding someone close by with the knowledge...

Sorry, 1999 CLK cabrio  Worn switch sounds a possible cause from the way it's acting.

Car not turning over - intermittent

OK, not sure if this is electrical or mechanical. About 1 in 20 times you go to start the car it just turns over for a fraction of a second then everything stops. You have to turn the key back to the off position and restart. It always starts second time you try when this has happened - until...
