When you scroll on to entire vehicle you need to press down to select it.
Driver's side means it will switch on the driver's heated seat only. It sends warm air out of all the vents as surely you want all the windows de-icing?! :D Below a certain temperature it will also switch on the heated...
This would suggest you can:

But you need to check your chassis plate to see if there is a tow weight given. It's usually on the driver's door shut. Even though you only want to use a...
No, it's not good at the moment. There is a big lag between driving the car and the app updating. At one point mine hadn't updated the app data for 20 hours despite me using the car twice during the day, so any attempts to set a departure time have no chance.
I think I used some silicone spray. It's just something to free up the mechanism and stop it gumming up.
I have had it where I couldn't close it, so drove with it open. It closed OK at the end of the journey - presumably it had warmed up!
I don't think driving with it open will cause any...
Mine does this, especially now the weather has turned cold.
On the back of the flap is a prong. Make sure that is straight.
The prong goes into a spring loaded receiver. Squirt some lube in to the receiver - you will need to use a blunt instrument to hold it open while you do this.
Sorry to hear that. Does seem a common fault. Most of mine was covered by the extended warranty. All you can do is natter and tell them it's a common fault and given you live in Scotland it's impossible not to go out in the rain!
I'm enjoying the pre-heat these cold mornings, although my charger socket was full of snow today...
The latest app seems to be better at activating, but it's a shame you have to set it each day and not once for Monday to Friday.
At this time of year I use E-Save to start off and get some heat into the cabin. I would also use E-Save if there is a steep hill to go up. Otherwise leave it in Hybrid. To be honest I think the difference will be marginal, but the heater does take a lot of battery power at this time of year.
Sadly not enough room in an F-Type Chris, but they look spectacular!
My driver's door LED failed some time ago. Not missed it, but it's clearly a crap design.
Fifth MOT and service done. 36,000 miles. Winter wheels on. Nothing to report. The local dealer was still doing collections which was good. Thought they might have stopped those with all the Covid stuff.
Have renewed my "Vehicle Setup" and "Live Traffic" services again. £65+VAT for the year...
Interesting thread. I too was browsing the UK configurator for the E-class. It's a very poor offering and the assumption is clearly that everyone wants an AMG look car with giant wheels.
