    iCarsoft for viewing a 2012 E350 Cdi?

One of the first things I did when I bought my 2010 E class was to invest in the iCarsoft MB11, since then I've upgraded to the iCarsoft CRO PRO scanner...no regrets, and while the MB 11 still gets some use, the CRO PRO is the Numero Uno. When you think about the investment in your MB, an OBD...

What was the date of the last update you had? And do yiu have a copy of what was updated ? It's a very disapointing experience. And from a company that claims to be a leader in OBD scanners..if they have a review page on their website, would be a good idea to put a review on it,warts and...

    Which iCarsoft reader?

Basically, some one ( far as I know can be anyone) acts as an administrator and contact a recognised iCarsoft seller ( UK Direct , in this case IIRC ) and does a deal with them for say 20 @ X Price. 30 @Y Price. 40 @ Z price. Then publishes it here on the forum, and any one interested...

    Accident/Damage/Insurance....grrrrrrrrr!

Same opinion here, and from a similar background, Restore to pre accident condition is all they are liable for. And the colors can be blended in perfectly ( assumimg a competent bodyshop) So a complete respray is a big No No,( unless you want to pay the additional cost yourself.. ) But even if...

Group Buy of Isoft CR Pro ($$ Discount)

I have the same model iCarsoft Cro Pro, Pat, and while it states that its Primarily for MB, it can also cover some functions in other car manufacturers, but its not multifunctional cover for all brands. Bit like a Venn diagram, I think. So far I've used it on Seat, Skoda, Peugeot and of...

Just that the english seems to be a little off as in " Are you sure you want exit" .... How do you find it on MB??? Works fine or not?? I think that its primary reading is MB, with the other makes having less options.

W212 Lower Control Arm Replacement DIY questions

MrGreedy,,,I'm not going to tell you how long ago it was since I did my first clutch replacement, but it was on a Morris Minor, in a farmyard, on the flat of my back with the car up on concrete blocks.....and in the Morris Minors, the front section of the floor had to be taken up to give access...

    Which iCarsoft reader?

One of ( if not the main ) reasons I upgraded from the iCarsoft MB11, to the iCarsoft MB CroPro was its supposed ability to do a regen,,,,,,,and in the instructions manual supplied, it shows how to do a step by step regen , but on a BMW.,,,,will have to check it out a bit more I think. No...

W212 Lower Control Arm Replacement DIY questions

Like any mechanical jobs you ( or I ) take on, no matter what they are, when the time comes to do the same job a 2nd time, there's things that you will do different, no matter how many U Tube videos you watch before hand. You just have tom be carefull, and when it comes to steering brakes etc...

W212 Lower Control Arm Replacement DIY questions

Before you finish ordering, try and get it up on a lift, and check all of the joints on the suspension, if only to confirm that its the TC arm is the one making the knocking noise. Does the car tend to wander on a straight road? Generally, after replacing suspension parts, you will need the...

    Oil filter tool size?

Here's my oil and filter change kit,,,,,,all bought in the local motor factors, many years ago, and still going strong. TBH, I much prefer a good strong heavy duty filter socket too ( the pressed metal type. I'm not a fan of,,) and neither would I use the type with the side locking bolts on...

Gearbox servicing, is it part of the normal schedule?

I paid €130 for the ATF, and €70 for the filter, gasket, bolts etc. The pump and sump fittings / connectors etc. I already have, as well as the iCarsoft. It may be possible to buy the parts individually a bit cheaper, but I prefer to go by the kit which shows MB part nrs.

Gearbox servicing, is it part of the normal schedule?

I'm not sure about the 9g, but for the 7G, I've already forked out €200 just for the ATF and filter etc. And as I plan on doing it myself, the labour charges will not apply, but I can well imagine that MB main dealer labour prices will be quite high
