Gentlemen,
We're moving down to Brighton soon and this good old girl will simply be too big to haul around the City streets, so a change is imminent.
Thought I'd try a swap or p/ex with someone on here to avoid the Ebay and Autotrader Mike Brewers and many wasted weekends.
It's a lovely...
Jolly time-consuming trying to sell a car outright these days, so If any of you would like to buy, swap or p/ex a CLK Coupe or Cabriolet for my 320 cdi Auto E Class 7-seater Estate then please get in touch. This is not a car I'm trying to 'offload' but I will be moving to a city soon as she's...
Advice regarding the pricing welcome and may do a p/ex with an Auto Golf GTi with cash your way.
please email kim@kdhcreative.co.uk for more info, pictures and viewing.
Thanks
Testing the water with selling the car as we are possibly moving to a place where it won't fit. I know how long it takes to sell a car so it might all work out fine.
She's our family car and recent work includes a full service and SBC pump which was horrendously expensive. She has 152,000...
2005 E Class Estate rear bumper.
I wonder if any of you kind people could advise the best route of putting my rear bumper back to where it should be.
I'm not sure how it came unclipped, but It won't seem to push back in (even with force).
Is there a trick?
I'm not massively mechanically...
My brother has his immaculate 2005 SLK 1.8 Manual for sale on Autotrader and will offer it to anyone interested on here for £1500 less than the asking price.
He's a decent chap and it's a good car. Here's the ad:
Mercedes-Benz SLK 1.8 SLK200 Kompressor 2dr
That's another thing I like about my car - scratches on every bumper.
It's very liberating. I remember when it was new (to me) and in mint condition, I was nervous of the hedgerows and the car park park dings etc.
One holiday in Cornwall or Norfolk is all you need to get your feet back on the...
You're right of course. The size is probably psychological. It is a long car though, but I guess just a hard/easy to park as a c-class version.
Wasn't picking on Cornwall - Norfolk's even worse.
I am totally with you on that one.
I would be very comfortable owning multiple cars. I think two per person is minimum.
Problem is, the tax, insurance and servicing.
I'm toying with the idea of not changing the E Estate, and buying myself an old 190e to pootle around in.
I was thinking of...
Thanks Derek, that's incredibly helpful.
My son and his bird are both nearing 6ft and we take them both on trips, so it sounds that a C-class would have them whingeing about legroom in the back. I would not want to sacrifice any legroom.
Totally agree with you on the 190. I had one ages ago...
Yes you're right, an Elegance. I tried the Avantgarde version before I bought this and found it too stiff. Didn't really suit the car.
Space sacrifice wouldn't be a terrible thing but waftability would.
