    Re-mapping

I have a 54 plate C220 CDI with 105,000 miles and I had mine remapped (Stage 1) and it is superb. My car had quite a bit of history although I service the car myself and if it needs anything major, it goes to my local Indy, so all i can say is I have had no issues. Best thing I could of done as...

    Ebay rear parking sensors.

You will need an additional relay as your car is CANBUS and without it, the sensors will not work. I would by CISBO parking sensors as I have fitted these before to CANBUS systems. The relay you will need is eBay item number:141274040885 and the sensors are eBay item number:141038761146 You...

    After Market radio

POSTED IN THE WRONG SECTION - SHOULD BE IN ELECTRONICS! Not sure what the third connector block is for, do you have a haynes manual to trace the wires back? Is your original FM lead a Fakra type connection? If so you will need a Fakra to FM connecting lead to use the cars antenna. What doesn't...

    W203 C180 Fuel issues

I agree with markjay, you need a STAR Diagnosis. I recently had some running issues and slow starting. Turned out to be the fuel pressure rail. Steve.

S320 CDI W221 intermittent starting problem

I have recently had problems starting mine and after reading allsorts of scary possible solutions such as high pressure fuel pumps and relays etc. which all when replaced didn't fix the problem. My problem was the Fuel Pressure Rail and even Mercedes STAR diagnostics didn't flag this as a...

Exhaust fumes quite smelly and gassey

Solved I finally got my car back today and the main issue was indeed the fuel pressure rail. The garage have lent me their spare until I can source a good second hand one. New ones are a fortune and I have already spent over £1,000 so I do not want to buy a new one unless absolutely necessary...

Possible EGR issue due to low power

Well I never imagined the fuel pressure rail would cause me so many problems and i think it was just bad luck that the glow plug relay and EGR failed at the same time. My indy did not recommend trying to clean the EGR valve as they can soon fail again and as it turned out it was non responsive...

    Occasional misfire Mercedes Mechanic Baffled

Spoke to them today and the car has not failed to start since replacing with a donor one, starts perfect every time and runs like a dream. New ones are expensive so may have to source a good second-hand one.

    Occasional misfire Mercedes Mechanic Baffled

After lengthy tests and a number of parts swapped and changed for fault finding it would appear that the fuel rail is at fault despite STAR reporting no errors. The Indy mechanics have replaced the fuel rail and report that everything now appears normal. They are currently testing it and...

Exhaust fumes quite smelly and gassey

Update My car isn't making those smells now but is also now running like it's occasionally misfiring and the engine feels like it's running a bit lumpy. Went out in it earlier and it was completely powerless, like I didn't even have a turbo! After a while sitting in traffic the power came back...
