Stick to German metal it will last longer.........
Has anybody else every had a vario roof module failure?
My wife's 2006 280 roof stopped working and the vario roof visit workshop light is on the clocks.
A star pc says there is no comms to the vrm and all fuses are ok.
Everything else works on the car except the heated rear...
as your last message its really quiet with the top down but i think the drop top 'scuttle-shake' all convertibles have transfer to the roof plastic panels when up!
The noise gets slightly better after the car warms up inside but for a quality brand its not what you would expect.

Otherwise you run the risk of them un-sticking and falling down/off.
Also damage to bumper paint taking it off and fitting it back on is a worry.

Saw a lady driving a white one on the M4 between Bristol and Bath area today and wilst it generally looked good I thought the rear end bumper/bash panel/exhaust trim design was something that possibly a 5 year old knocked up.

My mate had a Saab 900 T16S back in the 90's and it was fast, had individually design and comfort. You didnt see lots of them about and they seemed upmarket for the era.

My hope is that jobs get saved somehow.

Hi guys i have autoglym metal polish which is great for the most part of cleaning the tail pipe trims but on one pipe on the inner edge i have black deposits that are hard to remove with metal polish and cloth.
Does anybody have a better way to get that off without scratching?
if i had the stereo going i wouldnt notice but its very noisy compared to the boxster with its roof up.
And before theres a storm i do realize its a totally different roof construction etc and not as warm in winter as a hard top etc........
i just dislike creaks in a quality branded...
Just a quickie to say is it normal to hear a few plastic/trim creaks when you drive with the roof in place?
It seems 'so much better off ' than on so is there any maintenance needed to help this reduce or stop?
