I wouldn't be going anywhere other than MSL. They know the cars better than me, and know them better than most. I don't drive my cars that hard as it is, but it would be good to know that I have that extra oomph!
I assume that the facelift W212 is the better car?
Yeah that is what I have been trying to look into today. The car currently has 2 pistons on each front caliper but these are quite big.
Does anyone know what the piston area is for the 8 pot E55 calipers? I haven't been able to find the information out despite using my googlefu.
Thanks again. I think I need to find a pair now to see about getting them mocked up, as they may not fit when assembled. Just need to find a cheap set as I don't want to be left with calipers I can't use. I also need to see if they will suit a 374mm disc as I know the standard size is 360mm...
Thanks Minty. Do they mount on both sides? Could you measure the distance between the holes if you don't mind please?
To answer above, looking at a possible project to see if they will fit another car.
Good I am glad! It's your car, your wallet, you do the right thing for both :D. I am sure it is no slouch at 666bhp anyway!
Some decent gains, though that sounds like stage 2 for the decat? I'd rather run less boost and make more power, than run a lot of boost but losing power.
I hope that you didn't think I was being negative, unfortunately my posting style can come across that way as I am quite blunt and don't see the point of skirting around things.
I like to live a bit on the wild side, hence owning a V10 M5 which was always going to be a source of failure lol...
The company was ran by a person called Brian McAllister. I believe he is currently still active, after being inactive for so long.
This is the damage inflicted on the oil pump. You'd expect that can of damage to have marked the sump / stopped the engine from running, but it did neither...
