Thanks Doodle, I was actually after a video to take off the arm rest cover and the centre console because I need to get these re-aminated.
I have seen some videos showing that all you need to do is use credit cards (or something like that) but they never seem to work with my car.
I haven't had this issue myself so I am afraid I cannot help, but my ariel issue, is that it will not go down fully, the last part of the ariel (the thinnest part) will not retract when I turn the radio off.
I have the same issue, but am based in the UK. My problem is that I don't know how to remove the wooden pieces, It is a straight forward process for a person with very little skills?
I have been to Silvercrest (I think they are based near Iver) and they said that they would do it for me, but I...
Can anyone suggest the best cover for a 2000 R129. I have looked at eBay, Amazon etc, and they all have generic sizes and I am concerned that the generic covers may not be as effective as a cover build specifically for the car (within a budget).
Any suggestions would be grateful
I may have to do the same but was hoping to put ot off for as long as possible.
Do you have an idea of what a full respray will cost - just wanted to know how much of the childrens inheritance I will be spending!
I am also thinking about a full respray since i have a couple of knocks which need to be pulled out and also a couple of small areas of rust which i want to get treated.
Do you know how much it will cost for the respray so that i can start saving!!
Can I ask whether you are doing a full respray or just a polish.
It looks quite scratched up on the door handle (same as mine) and you have a bumper scuff (same as mine!).
I'd be interested to know how it turns out
Slightly off topic - do you know how to repair or get a replacement button for the arm rest slider button which currently has a big hole in it!
Not sure if I need the button or need the whole arm rest.
Not very technical - sorry!
Useful to know. I'll let you know what I am quoted (hope its less than that).
Basically the heat from the pana roof has cracked and broken the veneer round where the cassette tapes are stored, so this is all that needs to be repaired, rest is ok (but could probably do with a good polish).
I think mine is exactly the same as yours. It is a black/grey veneer that I am looking for also.
I am hoping that Silvercrest may be able to either fix it or make something to the same colour.
Its not a massive job since its only cracked (and broken) where the cassettes are stored, the other...
Thanks for this. They are not too far from me so will be going to see them this week.
Out of interest, the bits which are cracked on my R129 look like veneers rather than real wood, is that what you have also?
