I did pre registered before the slots went, but strangely I've not made the original list... I emailed PL about this, and just got a basic bland response.. to say the least it, will now play a factor in my next car purchase which will not be a tri star vehicle sadly to say.

Got me wondering tho.. i seem to spend more on replacement parts on this AMG then i ever did on my old 1998 CLK230 -

C55 on 40k miles so far...
if its not the MAF, Throttle Body (expensive), crank sensor, air leak etc...
have you thought about the accelerator pedal..? theres a module there.. if the voltages are not right can cause issues and throw up MAF sensor errors...
you say the pumps now been changed..? before you did this had you checked the pump relay as these can fail - stopping the hood form working correct -
Had an issue with the hood on my clk (was defect relay and low hydraulic fluid then it had to have a reset via STAR)
