R230 rear arch rust repair - grind back the lip?

If you grind it down it will make did a very sharp body panel. I would not grind it down. sand down as much as you can. Remove as much of the rubber sealant and perhaps inspect with a small camera I would then apply dinitrol rc900 (rust converter) or Bilt Hamber deox gel to convert remainder...

Hi My r129 only has a engine panel trim on the underside and the left hand side but there is nothing on the right hand side. It has caused quite a bit of additional dirt to enter that side of the engine bay and rust on the torsion bar. I spoke with MB parts department and when they search...

    T55 Bolt not coming out

I had to remove 8x T55 bolts from underside of the car and all were in a bad state but as Sod’s law dictates the last one won’t take the T55 bit. It is too far gone what are my options. Take it to the local garage and let them have a go at it. £40 per hour and I reckon they have the tools and...

R129. First drive in months. Grinding noise from OSR when turning left

at first the noise was constant. After a short drive it stopped and could only be heard when turning left. after I removed the wheel yesterday I bent the protective cover back a bit and I drove the car again today and no noise so pretty certain it is the protective cover.
