If you want "real" power you should consider a modified diesel pump. Is your engine code OM606 ? If it is, then you can get big power for not a lot of monies. Speak to Diesel Pump UK. They build some superdiesel Mercs with insane power. HTH
I'm sure your car should have it. It's a 150 amp fuse. Not a blade fuse. Look at the first picture and you will see a silver cylinder type fuse. All electrics will work except starter if this is blown.
I could not get rid of the squealing until I replaced all 8 pads with MB pads. I tried everything but ultimately had to change pads to genuine MB pads to resolve this issue. It was driving me insane. HTH. No idea what the difference is in materials.

I did the 8 piston caliper upgrade on my CL (some pics in profile) and had to use CL600 bi turbo...
Hi, Use the search engine and find member "Haylands" CL500 respray thread. I believe his car was resprayed in Newcastle. Very good job and price. Hope this helps. Pictures are in his full thread from start to finish.
Get some "engineering blue" dye and coat the inside of each front wheel. Then rotate the wheel (obviously whilst bolted back on to the hub). The rubbing should be consistent all the way around the inside rim. This rubbing will leave "engineering blue" dye on the caliper to indicate exactly where...
This ^^. If no problem then your wheel is slightly bent. Remedy by either having buckle taken out or grind the AMG logo down 1-2mm.
I did a big brake conversion on my car a couple of years back. 8 piston jobby. There's always some niggly problem that'll drive you insane. Don't give up.
