MBClub UK Android Mobile APP out now

Brilliant. Now I can participate in the best forum on the smartest-until-my-Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-arrives smartphone, my Galaxy S. Yay!

    Iphone IOS 4 and contacts

Problem solved. Downloaded an app from the Android market that lets me connect to a remote GPS receiver via BT and place the latter in the rear armrest, where it gets a better signal than my Nokia, iPhone 4 or the Galaxy ever could!

    Iphone IOS 4 and contacts

So we've jumped from IOS 4.02 to 4.1? In the meantime I've fallen for the Galaxy S. However both phones suffer from bad GPS performance when mounted on a Brodit clip on the dashboard, directly under my infra-red coated windscreen. Does anyone have a fix for this?

D'accord. Just when I am about to daybreak my iPhone tin an attempt to make it more useful! Posted by my Android.

I was wondering that. According to Apple it is to fix the rather serious PDF flaw that allowed one to jailbreak iPhones remotely.. Posted by my Android.

Samsung Galaxy S and BT SAP

The video and audio comes from a 3.5mm multimedia lead plugged into the TV out of the Samsung and plugged into the video and L/R auxiliary audio inputs of my TV. Bluetooth is not involved here, that is only used for SIM access. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk

Samsung Galaxy S and BT SAP

No, it plays music via the auxiliary inputs on my TV. If you don't have a TV you can get a multimedia to COMAND adaptor that does the same thing.

Samsung Galaxy S and BT SAP

It can't be PBAP as the Samsung has that and my Nokia E71, which uploads the phonebook, doesn't. Both phone have serial port profiles but I suspect the support files loaded on the Nokia by PC Suite support the AT commands necessary to transfer the phonebook and there are no corresponding files...

Samsung Galaxy S and BT SAP

I think the phonebook transfer may be a BT profile either not implemented on the Samsung or missing the support files on the phone that were installed on my Nokia by PC Suite. As regards the Galaxy S I love it! The 4 inch display makes using my iPhone 4 feel like painting a room through the...

Richard, so does that mean if I want to buy a new Viseeo I have to specify "for iPhone use"? Does it also mean that that Viseeo is useless if I want to use it with any other phone?

Samsung Galaxy S and BT SAP

Would that it were so easy. That procedure worked fine with my Nokia E71 but doesn't with the Samsung. If I knew the BT profile the 0000 call used I might be able to get it to work.

Samsung Galaxy S and BT SAP

Just taken delivery of my shiny new Samsung Galaxy S. Very impressed with the phone, not the least because the extra home screens enable me to have the sort of widgets I was missing on my iPhone, calendar entries, tasks, Twitter and Facebook feeds etc. It features BT SAP profile and paired with...

    Iphone IOS 4 and contacts

Reception, particularly GSM reception, isn't as strong as my Nokia and the limited BT profiles, meaning not only no BT SAP connection but no file transfer over BT, hence the need to connect it by a USB cable (how quaint), coupled with a dearth of tools to manage my daily tasks mean the iPhone...

    Iphone IOS 4 and contacts

Battery, reception and bluetooth issues and the lack of customisable home pages are forcing me to look at Android. The iPhone is dead, long live the smartphone!

That's good news for iPhone 3 cradle owners. Looks like Viseeo users will have to wait for them to update the software as it is increasingly unlikely Slackle will do anything.

I know, I know... It's just that it does list SAP as a BT profile. There's no mention of it in the manual though, which can't be a good sign. Android is so much better than iPhone OS though and of course knocks spots off of Symbian. Maybe the N8 with Symbian^3 will address that but release is...
