It's also a red flag for me if I'm buying a used performance car. If the previous owner is scrimping on tyres, where else have they scrimped on the running costs?

Mis-matched tyres is never good. I swapped the OEM Continentals for Michelin Pilot Sport 4 (not 4S as I run 18s) and have been impressed so far.

From a business perspective, would you rather your ramps were used for a customer where you can charge labour and parts or just labour? If they're at capacity, you would just take the customers you can make the most profit from. Maybe there's your answer why you're not getting a call back.

Can I purchase a plan at any time? My C63 is due a B1 in a couple of months which my local dealership quoted £863 (includes plugs). It seems a no brainer to sign up to a £46pcm plan for two years and two services if it means I can avoid a £863 hit on my wallet.

As much as someone is willing to pay. I sold those 19s, fed up with the cracking, for two sets of standard 18s with winters and summers. I think the estate (and saloon) wears the 18s better than the coupe. No cracking, better ride and cheaper tyres.

I was a little surprised at the values of E46 M3s when I looked. They've appreciated significantly. I'd need a few thousand pounds on top of what I sold mine for five years ago to buy it back, with more mileage.
