Howto Remove door mirror and glass

I have appreciated this thread and tutorial, so I wanted to add that there is actually a video up on YouTube in case people would like a better visual on how the C clip and removing the cover works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DZL72RBEjg&feature=related

    Big Problem..........

Can anyone tell please me how to clean the wiring harness if fluid has started to migrate up it? Does the sheath pull back and you just wipe down the wires? I am going to be checking this out soon and want to have all the supplies I need ready in case there is a problem so that I don't have...

    Big Problem..........

From the Mercedes EPC site, and confirmed by someone else on another MB forum, the old part number (at least on a w202) was A 140 270 02 50 and the new connector is A 203 240 02 53.

Keeping W202 in tip top condition

Your air-co issue sounds normal. The compressor doesn't usually kick in until a few seconds after the start even when in the on position and I think this is by design to make it less complicated for the engine to start. Once the AC kicks in, there is a relay or something that tells the engine...

    C Class Horn

I have been looking into the Hella replacement horns (regular, not trumpet type). The kit I have been considering is - "Hella Supertone Horn Kit. This horn is best on open interstates where you want to warn a truck that he is about to run into you." Read the intro on this page and then scroll...

    Tuning options for w202 C230k?

I would do the chip tuning only after you have done everything else like the pulley mod, exhaust, etc., so that it take into account all changes you plan to make. Kleeman kits are out of production for the W202 from what I understand. From what I have read, the Kleeman kit was more highly...

    Fault codes

AFTER you have the new MAF installed, make sure to reset/clear your codes and then drive it a while before you go into the shop. Some parts store chains let you borrow a code reader that can reset your codes. Otherwise you can disconnect your battery for 10 minutes but then you will have to...

    Faulty Supercharger on a C200

Surely there is a place the sells rebuilt superchargers in the UK. They are not a Mercedes specific part. I know there is a place in Canada that sells them. Here is a place in the US: http://www.directauto.com/product-exec/product_id/7685/nm/1999_2000_Mercedes_C_Class_Rebuilt_Super_Charger...

My new MAS failed - interesting findings

That flat thing is an oil separator that is supposed to separate the oil out of the crankcase's ventilated air. You need to check ALL of the hoses that connect to that and the hoses that connect to whatever connects to those :) See if any are clogged, split or unplugged. There is also a check...

    Summer Opening / Convenience Closing

If I understand your situation/question, whenever your battery has been changed or disconnected you must then resynchronize each of the windows and the sunroof before the feature will work. Look in your owner's manual. It basically involves holding each button in a cetain postion when the car is...

    Battery Performance

FWIW, my w202 wouldn't start yesterday and it had 12.38 volts when measured across the terminals. You could hear the starter begin to engage but not enough to turn anything. Luckily, there was still plenty of power to power interior lights, and most importantly, the pumps and receivers for the...

    where is the ecu ??

According to the diagram in the Haynes manual, if you are standing at the front of the car, the ECU box is at the very back right corner of the engine bay, right next to the hinge for the bonnet/hood. Under the big black plastic cover.

Air Flap Actuator for clk Kompressor w208

Are you talking about the diversion valve that attaches to the side of the air filter box? If so, that looks like an easy DIY. You ought to check out the price for ordering online and do it yourself. I bet you could save a bunch of money.

Changing Temp gauge from C to F

    >>All the Other American w202's are in C<< Maybe you meant F? At least F is true for display in U.S. cars. Not sure about Canadian.

Transmission jerk on 5 speed auto - torque converter?

I just had this unit swapped out for a similar problem on my U.S. w202. I am not really sure that it will improve things. At first it seemed like things might have improved, but now it seems like it might be heading back to its old ways. I think they reset all the adaptions after the new control...

How long for new MAF to "bed in"

What about just disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes to get a good reset? You will need the code for your radio and may have to reset the windows and sunroof (see your owner's manual) but that should speed up the relearning process.
