Thanks for sharing ! What you say makes a lot of sense. I think on the couple of times I really noticed a rear ride height drop, it was after about 36/48 hours of having it parked up. Generally the car lies idle for about about 16/20 hours or so after parking up. This a photo of it today...

I would suggest, considering its 11 years old, that a pro active battery replacement would be in order, considering the relatively low cost, ease of change, winter coming up and its had a pretty decent innings to date. Batteries fail over time, I believe that's a fact.
