Hi rsb, re checking your oil, I have a 2003 w211 & to check the oil you use the buttons on the steering wheel, apparently its in the manual, I played around with mine once & it tells you lots of things. cheers baz

Hi Dobby, I just replaced mine on a w211, those holes are to fit your socket with a extension to undo the front studs that hold the pump. A tip from me, buy a well known brand pump, not a cheap no brand name pump-- unless you want experience in how to remove & replace pumps. cheers baz

Re MB Valve bodies. Thanks French for your advice, Ive ordered a Sonnax kit $88. here in Aus so when I get my finger out I will get on with the fitting & hope that will be the last of my worries with this car. Otherwise a Toyota or Mazda will be its replacement. No more European motor vehicles...
