    Guess who

We are still looking for a place to stay permanently - as you can imagine the wife is very pleased that I`ve chosen the car before the house ... BUT you`ll never believe that petrol is much cheaper here than it is in the UK. It`s about 50p a litre here for the regular stuff and that...

    Guess who

Nice to be remembered ! We just arrived over here last Saturday. Saw a lovely silver W124 already yesterday, lowered with wide wheels but my next car will definitely be an RX8. If I see any nice MB motors over here, I`ll keep you informed.

    Surprised? You betcha!

That's a really good price, the steering damper alone can be 40 quid depending on the stealer.

    W124 now gone, Sniff.....

Not sure to be honest, Brian. First car will be a company car. As I will be living in Hiroshima, most likely will be a Mazda, maybe an RX8  Second car for the misses will be probably be a yaris or something of that ilk. If policy will stretch to an MB, I wouldn't mind a new C...

    W124 now gone, Sniff.....

I am totally carless at the moment. Maybe I'll put my 7 years bicycle up, as it's the only family transport we've got ! It'll be at least 4 weeks before I can post my next motor.

    W124 now gone, Sniff.....

My W124 is finally gone, sold to the highest bidder who lives in the Shetland Islands. Presumably over the next few years, that lovely metallic malachite green finish will be gradually replaced by a rust brown one. Can't help feeling I've made a big mistake, sold a one-off superb motor...

    BMW joke for your enjoyment

I'm Irish so I have licence to tell this joke, in fact, I think I worked in this petrol station at one point !: On a golf tour in Ireland, Tiger Woods drives his BMW into a petrol station in a remote part of the Irish countryside. The pump attendant, obviously knows nothing about golf...

    Alt Zeiter - Old timer

Is there anything that beats a W124 on a long distance ? I've just completed a business trip by car with 3 lanky germans (one was nearly 7ft tall) going from Birmingham to Banbury, onto Oxford, Swindon and back to Birmingham - about 350 miles in all. We started out the trip in a new Passat...

    T202 Lights switch

nope, my 124's post facelift but still not illuminated, other than foglight red lamp. Complete dash light went out a couple of weeks ago. I thought that rheostat controller had failed, instead it turned out to be a burnt fuse, which also controlled front and rear RHS running lights
