How economical is your AMG ??

I’ve averaged 14mpg in the last 6000 miles in my G55. I’ve also seen a range of 220miles with a full tank of 96litres when driving French motorways. Economical it is not :D

    W124 E60?

Whilst casually looking at E500's as one does, I spotted this car on Pistonheads: Mercedes-Benz E Class Initially I thought someone had barried up an E500 with horrible wheels, Recaro C's (although they are nice, its a shame to lose the standard Limited seats), and a number of other bits 'n...

    w202 C43 vs C36

The C43 was my first Mercedes so I'm probably biased towards it :D. For me it was a no brainer compared to the C36, back in the day a relatively compact car with a V8 was pretty unique. AMG's version of the 4.3l M113 was never used in any other model. Also it was the only one available in...

    Rare AMGs video

Cool video, howmany of these are owned by forum members? Its a bit strange that in some cases he splits by body style (E36 coupe and E36 cabrio) but for other models he combines all body styles I'd never heard of the E42 for the Japanese market before!

    G55 AMG

Thanks! Its shiny in those pictures as they were taken the day I got it. Up close it has a few marks, and right now its a bid muddy. I wish I could say that was down to having some fun but its the car park at work that's in an absolute state.

s211 e55k How many on the forum??

Cheers, its the Nüfenen pass, sort of in the middle of Switzerland. And Brabus was not just the wheels, its a 530BHP Brabus K8 I had it for 2 years but sold it recently, it struggled a bit with the winters here. Replaced by a G55 that should be able to cope with anything nature can throw at it :D

    G55 AMG

Well I had been searching for a relatively cheap but interesting 4wd car as my Brabus K8 was not the best in the snow. Initially I had stumbled upon this 300E 4matic: W124 E300 4Matic Brabus 3.6 However I had a few doubts about it and in the end didn't get it. I was keeping an eye out for...

    W124 E300 4Matic Brabus 3.6

Cheers for the link, I take it that's just an example and not the same for the 4matic? Thanks for the heads up, I'll make sure of that before taking the plunge. I'm still hesitant about this car, on one hand it was well cared for but it has been standing for a long time, even though it had a...

    W124 E300 4Matic Brabus 3.6

I don't think it is the gearbox, the noise was coming from the rear so I suspect diff/transfer case. But I have no idea howmuch work this could be, or if replacement parts are even available. I wasn't aware of any 4matic shut off valve, so I didn't even look for that. The traction warning...

    W124 E300 4Matic Brabus 3.6

He's asking the equivalent of £6500, I have no idea how to value these. MERCEDES-BENZ 300 E 4-Matic Automatic (Limousine)

    W124 E300 4Matic Brabus 3.6

I went to look at one of these today. Now I know everyone says to keep clear of the 4Matic, however I live in the Alps, and intend to have this as my winter car so the 4matic is a must for me (my other two cars being rwd, even with decent winter tyres it can get tricky). Overall the car is in...

    E55K with Brabus bits

I thought he did check each one, I was with him and he had been through many, but obviously not all. To get to that one, the garage had to remove the lining from the boot and go somewhere under the back seat, close to where the pump is. Its the heat from all the current that burned the relay...

    E55K with Brabus bits

Well the issue seems to be with the fuel pump. Apparently it's drawing too much current (garage measured 25amps, I don't know what it's meant to do), and this blew the fuse, burnt the relay and melted the plastic relay holder thing because of heat. Has anyone heard of similar failures on these...

    E55K with Brabus bits

They're staggered, 2 piece split rims. As for the £7 Nurburgring picture, I've been there enough times that I don't fancy paying for them. If I get a really nice shot I will but otherwise I'll just be stingy:D And in slightly less good news, the car died on me today. First time in my life...

    E55K with Brabus bits

About 10 years ago I sold my old C43 and left the three pointed star (I know, I've sinned). Been through a few other cars and also left the UK for CH, but now I'm finally back at the wheel of one. Picked this up back in May, the car was originally sold in Germany where it also had a trip to...

    Daft wheel bolt question

I have a set of Brabus Monoblock V (17x8), tried to fit them today but my wheel bolts are too short. Anyone knows what size I need? :D

Current c43/c55 Market Value ? wow

The only time I recall seeing one for sale in the UK was back when I was lookin for a C43 (must be about 5-6 years ago now), it was an estate with around 150,000 on the clock if I remember correctly. So if there's really 3 in the UK then its the one in autocar, the one you've spotted and the...

    17" Carlsson 1/6

Hmm worth considering if shipping isnt a silly amount. Do you have a link to the American W202 site? Also how does it work for importing, need to pay VAT or something? Never bought anything like that from abroad before.
