Mercedes Benz iPod Interface Kit CLK (and others) B67824204

Hi all, I've got the iPod Interface kit which I purchased for my CLK and removed when I sold the car. I owned it from new, and can't remember the exact price I paid but it was a helluva lot I think circa £200. I'm open to offers, but I was hoping for about £100. This is the full kit...

How to get rid of pigeons?

If they're landing on the tree tie strands of fishing line to the branches. The movement of the line freaks the birds out and so they find somewhere else to sit. The bonus is that the lines are invisible to any passer by. I've also suffered from pigeon problems previously.

    Weekend fun car dilemma

I happen to know where there's a lovely 996 going, with a rebuilt and warranted engine. They're very fun and very fast. It's a bit above your £8k budget though. PM me if interested. Whichever you decide I'd steer away from anything which is a too normal. Likely it won't feel special enough...

    Apple CarPlay

It looks interesting, although very unclear what the system is yet. Either way, choice can only be a good thing. I expect that neither option will be standard and will likely come as a hefty optional extra if the MB Drive Kit Plus is anything to go by (read: unjustifiably expensive).

    Apple CarPlay

It does state that other apps will be supported (and lists a variety of music streaming type apps). The iOS maps app has been much improved of late, but I admit that I do turn to Google's offering more often than not. Either way, it's better than any in-car nav system, which are all woeful in...

    Apple CarPlay

Have you chaps seen this? It looks very cool. Apparently MB will be issuing a press release listing which cars it will be included with this week. As someone who's considering a new car and who is often frustrated about the quality of all in car computer systems I find this quite exciting!

    Parktronic Problems

The manual is pretty poor to be fair! The "P" pops up when it's looking for a space (when you're travelling slowly). It 'looks' by measuring the distance between two parked cars (it only appears to work when there's a single parking bay free, if there's two adjacent ones it doesn't seem to...

A call for anyone with integrated child seats in an E Class

Thanks for the info guys. I'm just nervous about pulling the trigger on the car unless I can be absolutely certain I can fit everyone in. Looking at the photos of the integrated seats I *expect* I won't have a problem if I use both of those had have a fwd facing seat in the middle, but I...

A call for anyone with integrated child seats in an E Class

Hi Troon, Thanks for the reply. I actually saw your original post in this forum when you were facing the same challenge. Can you advise which type of seat you're using in the middle as my current one is way too bulky!

A call for anyone with integrated child seats in an E Class

Has anyone got these? What sort of space is left in the middle seat once.. umm.. erected? I'm seriously considering an E-Class, but I'm really struggling to fit my 3 children into one. I've had a demo car for the past 4 days, and this weekend I really struggled. Children are aged: 7...

Thanks a mil for the comprehensive feedback - that's exactly what I was looking for. All doubts destroyed. Hybrid it is. Thanks!

    Considering a new E-Class - Advice Request

You see, I'd automatically ruled out Cavansite Blue as it looked too bright for me in the configurator - but my fav colour for cars is very dark blue, to the extent it's almost black. I need to see if my local dealer has any I can look at.

    Considering a new E-Class - Advice Request

Yeah, I also found it cheaper than the E220. I've gone SE rather than AMG - I really could spot a noticable difference between the two and wasn't fussed with the seats. Instead I'd rather spend the money on options as I'm sure I'll see more benefit that way.

    Considering a new E-Class - Advice Request

Thanks for all of the info. I thought the massage function was reserved for the £2k+ seats? I've certainly ruled those out!

    Considering a new E-Class - Advice Request

Hi, I've seen a few people say that the ILS look much better than standard lights - in what way do they look different? I thought they were identical lighting systems, but just with the ability to move and direct beams. Also - do you have to buy the high-beam assist option as well, or...

    Considering a new E-Class - Advice Request

Thanks Neil, especially for the first hand views on the distronic system - it sounds like a must have for me. Yes all cars in the range now come with DAB as standard.

    Considering a new E-Class - Advice Request

Thanks for the tips. Did you listen to cars with and without HK (admittedly I've not done this)? With regards to the LED lights - I wasn't that impressed with ILS - but that's based on a few youtube videos where I struggle to see it offering much benefit. Again, the dealer wasn't helpful...

    Considering a new E-Class - Advice Request

Ah, I didn't realise that, all of the videos I've seen just show parallel parking! If it's anything like the BMW and Audi system then it'll need to be hard wired to stand a chance of syncing properly.
