For petrol the NOx needs to be below 0.08. It should mention on V5C, if not check with manufacturer they will tell you. It can be pre euro 4 and comply with correct NOx level

This is the problem. Tfl dont make it clear for common consumer. I didnt know what NOx is untill some guy in garage told me do this, which im trying. My c class 2002 was euro 3 and compliant

I have submitted this to tfl with my v5c. Hopefully they will update within 10days. Im wondering now how i can claim refund on the many years of ulez charges i have paid. I was thinking the following with some more points.

The letter states country of manufacturer is germany but first registered in japan. So this is euro car?

1st link looks like for EU cars only. I think i came across similar sites asking for money upfront to process CoC. I also find this odd because I thought CoC requires vehicle present, But i have mailed them. Nothing special just a regular import car from Japan

I will query them this IVA. Thanks Would the car not have gone through IVA when it was imported? Japan implementes much stricter standards long before UK so older cars should be complaint.
