De-chrome is better in my opinion. Gives the car a sportier edge. I have recently de-chromed my boot strip and grill on the front.

I had my old CLS320cdi remapped and found it much quicker. Also brought the MPG up slightly I would recommend if you are going for a remap to remove the EGR function as well. Also believe you can remove the DPF, but i never had one on my CLS.
