    DP or not DP?

And I thought cars were intended to be driven under all highway circumstances. Silly me!

    DP or not DP?

Just bought a E320 cdi, 2009 (reg. date 18/09/2009) - both surprised and delighted to find that it doesn't have the dreaded (and I mean that literally) DPF. Hooray. Mike

2009/59 CLS 350 CDI Auto for sale with oil leak!

As the title says, the car has developed an oil leak and it needs to go. Also, three electrical issues (3rd brake inop., no. plate lights and interior boot release). The car is absolutely mint, 2 owners, 83,000 miles. Would £3250 be a reasonable price? Mike

Boot release/no.plate lights/3rd brake light not working???

So, having checked the brown wire near the hinge, can't find a break! Any other likely culprits? Doing my head in. (CLS 350CDI - 2009)

Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Looking for my ideal registration - M1KES. Unfortunately I found it was on a McLaren, so I guess I won't be buying it anytime soon

    Rear headrest W211

Hi all, Just got a new (to me!) E280 cdi. Unfortunately, the previous owner's dog took a liking to one of the rear headrests and attempted to eat it. Any way I could remove the headrest from the two prongs without removing the whole unit, as I understand it is a PITA. Thanks in advance, Mike

Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Just messing about, wondering what my ideal plate might be registered on (M1KES). Had a look on the MOT checker and it is attached to a a McLaren!!! Guess I won't be buying that anytime soon...

    LED Number Plate Lights

Hi all, quick question: Trying to replace the rather yellowish bulbs on my W211 but I have now tried two led sets and they were both about 1mm too long, both in terms of the actual length and also the white plastic mounting plate inside. Any recommendations, please? Mike

    E200 compressor

Hi all, Just replaced my X Type 2.2d auto with the E200 kompressor petrol auto. The car is a facelift 2008, and the reason for change is that I now do a very low, sub-6000k pa mileage. The annoying DPF on the Jag involved me, once a week, driving up the road for 20mins at above 2000rpm to burn...

    Aftermarket Sat Nav Unit

I had one of these units in my Rover 75 a while ago. The navigation was spot-on, much better than my Comand in the CLK. The radio, however, was pretty poor - kept losing stations and having to be re-tuned. These sets were going for about £50 not long ago - there is a very good thread on the...

    Triplewax waterless clean and shine

Currently on offer at Wilko for £2 for a litre. Just triedit and very impressed with the results - the BEST thing about it was that it masked the horrible swirl marks that were driving me nuts... Highly recommended.

Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Spotted last week on a very nice Bentley... Either: a) He's got a lot of dough, or b) He's got a lot of 'dough' or, boringly, c) He's called Doug H...
