I used t bolts with reinforcement inside the box ( large plates) on my Thule. The bolts go through aluminium sections which run the length of the box so my opinion was that all would be OK - 1200 miles to Spain fuly loaded with no issues at all

If it's privacy you're after have you looked at UPVC gates - very popular on the continent and no rot issues - around here wooden gates look rough after about 2 years and are dropping to bits after about 5!!

Pollen filters on focuses are awkward -every ford 'technician' has a stock in his toolbox - checks them out of stores so customer gets charged and goes straight to toolbox. In my experience Mercedes are even worse - appalling set of shysters

The star on the boot of my CLS Shooting Brake has dents in it. I'm looking at a replacement but wondered whether an older model Merc badge may be better quality? Badge is approx 74mm dia - any ideas if I can replace with a different model. Thanks Roy

EXACTLY - dealer fails to provide a fix to a simple issue after 3 visits and 6 hours wasted. Customer service say it has to go back to the dealer who are obviously not interested. As I said to them this morning - they are not Customer Service they are Dealer Support - I will NEVER buy another...

Looking for a dealer to fix the front passenger window on my 2014 CLS Shooting Brake. Should be an easy fix (catching seal when opening door) but Sytner Carlisle can't do it. Northern England / Southern Scotland preferred but need a trustworthy dealer who knows what they're doing. Car obviously...

Thanks - issue is simply that the front passenger window is catching the seal when door is opened. Sytner Carlisle have had it six hours and slightly better but not sorted. From what I've seen I wouldn't trust them with a rusty lawnmower. Roy
