I've been waiting 8 weeks now. Dealer has authority from MB UK to replace the frame free of charge, but the part is unavailable. Not sure how much longer I can go without a vehicle.

Thanks for your reply. I should be honest - the journeys in the week are still short (school run) but not as short as during lock down. This time the car at least gets up to temperature, if not for long. But with that said it's no different to how I've been driving it over the last 5 years...

Well it's not looking too good, the car does indeed have a rattle when first started up. The garage have said the error is from the camshaft sensor and the timing chain and various other bits need replacing. Am waiting for a quote but they pre-warned me that it's likely to be expensive

Thanks for your replies. Would condensation and mayo around the filler cap cause the engine management light to come on? I'm gonna have the oil and filter changed asap anyway as it's overdue (in terms of days rather than mileage).
