I refuse to reply to anything about BAS. :P

    Are modern cars too complicated?

It's irrelevant. If it breaks, there's a big bill. We're talking about modern cars being too complicated, not BAS. As I said:

    Are modern cars too complicated?

Sorry, what I meant was BAS is an example. It's something else to go wrong, that's all.

    Are modern cars too complicated?

The point is that you start trusting BAS. If it fails, your mental adjustment puts you in the danger zone to make you a statistic. It is merely an example of something that can go wrong so don't get too hung up about BAS.

    Are modern cars too complicated?

Whenever manufacturers boast about x, y and z features I now think, "That's more to go wrong, then." As good as BAS is, the day it fails is the day you'll become a statistic. At least you know where you are with old school servo brakes.

    Watch Batteries

If you change it yourself, the watch will no longer be waterproof. When you send it away (ie not get even a reseller to change it in front of you), they reseal and test it.

Confronted a burgler at 3.30 am - moral support and advice welcome

Frankly, if someone breaks into my house, I will be attacking them with a selection of swords that I have been trained in. I'll worry about the consequences later. Just don't stab them in the back, I've been told.

Britain braces itself for New Year 'big freeze'

Ah, that's global warming that is. Well, climate change. Well, global cooling. Well, British weather. Wonder what the ICSC would say. I know the IPCC would use it as an excuse to ramp up taxes.

Glad to hear he hasn't died. Lee Evans seems to come across as trying to be a Norman Wisdom. Anyone seen the latest DVD?

    What wristwatch do you wear?

Fair enough. I am in the "don't know much about them" watches, hence my comments.

Who has the right of way ?????

Does depend on how fast the lane 3 car is moving as to whether lane 1 car spots him. It is certainly easier for lane 3 car to see lane 1 car approaching a slow car and wanting to pull out, assuming lane 1 car signals. Lane 3 car would certainly have more information to be able to make a better...

The fake watch that the strap is attached to.

    What wristwatch do you wear?

Yep, can tell instantly. The one on the left is the fake and it is attached to the strap of the one on the left, therefore it is the fake.

Ideas for a decent backbox to unleash the V8!!

Oh, I know what you mean. Snag is that it was too damned quiet. I didn't notice any change in performance when I put the new one in. The fact that it snakes round the box does make it very restrictive.
