Talking of issues and sorry if this has been done to death before now, even though the rather is warm in SE UK right now my battery is only showing 13/14 miles on full charge. Even today after a very warm night. Does this look like a problem that needs to be fixed or is it par for the course...

Means 35 miles in hybrid mode if the driver started with no battery. Just like a Toyota hybrid in essence, with battery being replenished by brake regeneration etc. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

My experience on motorway over 150 miles at 70mph is 45mpg, starting with a full charge. Coasting and Leccy down hill after 100 mikes kept the consumption at 45mpg. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

I did 150 miles on Tuesday in one hit and got 45mpg cruising on motorways at 70. Started with full charge of 15.miles. I don't think that is too shabby. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Have not bothered with a chargemaster or similar. This 13amp external socket was about £20 from screw fix and looks quite nice in stainless steel and includes a blue LED when switched on. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

If you stick to motorway speed limits and charge daily you should see that mpg without too much of a problem, in my limited experience of just 250 miles. Am currently running at 56mpg in that time but ran on electric for local journeys over the whole weekend, which skews the total somewhat...

I Just put it in eco and let the car decide. Leccy only kicked in on the very flat and downhill sections on the motorway, and 100 per cent on the start and end of journey slow speed sections. I am charging at home via a £20 13amp outside plug at 8 amps car setting. Sent from my SM-G900F using...

Day 2. Charged to 16 miles range over night. Pre heat at 6.30 am in car at 6.40. 2 miles of my journey to work is 30mph the rest motorway, total 21 miles. Got here with 6 miles electric used, 49.5mpg, 8 miles electric left in the tank. Must say it was against a significant head wind (gertrude)...

I am running a 320 ed at the moment, which sits on energy saving rubber and is ghastly in the wet, and sometimes the dry. The tyres are so hard. The main issue I have with the Beemer is the interior, which for a 33.5k car is poverty spec. The loss of a little driving fun on the twisties is...

    C-Class 350e - Your charging experiences

Thanks guys that clears that up. On top of the £5000 grant it would have been far too much to expect more government assistance with the cost of electicity! Will weight up whether the 16amp is worth the extra over the standard 13amp socket. Ease of use may swing it in favour of the 16. J

    C-Class 350e - Your charging experiences

I get my C350e estate on 11 Jan, so am thinking about charging set up for home. Was just going to get a 13 amp external weather proof plug installed, but interested to hear that there could be tax advantages to getting the grant funded version???? What is the tax advantage? How do we go about...
