Took the infotainment unit out and found two broken wires on the harness, repaired and problem solved.

I thought that could be the case so left it for an hour or so during the drive back from London. Point to add, the battery is new.

I'm unable to switch the infotainment system on as the power button next to the joypad is fubar. Is there another way to switch it on?

After 15 or so years driving BMW's, mainly the straight six 3/4/5 series and SUV's between, the interior build quality is objectively better. Great cars however i felt they have just become a bit boring / sensible of late.

They will be found and fixed by then. I have a plan :)

This is my first Mercedes (well i had a brief fling with a C220 about 8 years ago) so can't really say, that being said it seems reliable enough but the interior plastics are a bit rattly.

Need to replace the front discs and pads on my C43, looks like the previous owner pad slapped the last set so whilst the pads are virtually new the discs have a significant lip. Have the discs and pads but need the motivation to do it :)
