Merc85 Is spot on. I too have contacted DVSA with fuel filter related issue. Cant advise people enough if you have any safety related issues use the above link to notify the DVSA. Lets make manufacturers sit up and listen.

Its not heat fatigue its pressure in a flexible bent rubber hose straightening out under pressure that stresses the plastic. Meddle i meant as dont try and fix something that aint broke yet. Lol. Fuel sprays out in well on top of tank covers just stop ingress to cabin

Ill keep all posted on outcome with MB but doubt anything will come looking at replies so far. But im like a dog with a bone on some issues. Plus doesnt help with an ETA for part in november

Trouble is if you meddle you could bring on failure earlier. Just keep an eye especially if you smell fuel
