Why did the boot not stop instantly on detection of obstacle in its path. My boot makes and annoying beeping when closing. Ok, it is not keyless, but even so...should stop before ' shut on my face causing considerable damage'.

Mostly turn mine off. Light brake pressure does' not stop stop/start activating...at least not on my car. Not against the system...just a real pain on motorway creeping traffic jams and areas with lots of roundabouts to crawl up to.

Does' it make any difference what I drive. Should I have a more powerful vehicle to be allowed to comment? Maybe, as I have noticed on a lesser vehicle, the difference would be more noticeable on a hyper Merc!!

Car runs way better on BP Ultimate. Seems to have got bored with Shell V Power. Smooth running and acceleration...quieter as well. Minds made up and I will not be talked out of it....ever :-)

i would expect it to feel quite different cornering.....different makes. And of course, how much life left in tyres would contribute. Whether that would produce the issues you are getting...am unsure. Sort of surprised that the issue of different brands was not brought up when having wheel...

Alloy rims can become porous. Not so much on merc wheels, but on my ex Toyota it became quite an issue with rims having to be changed.

I will be going t down to WiM sooner then later to get new front tyres. I shall also have the alignments done again...maybe this time AFTER the new tyres are fitted. Though, I have no idea whether that makes any difference whatsoever.

Not happened to me. Unless, I am in some lorry type tracks in the tarmac, like you get on inside lanes sometimes.

Had all wheel alignment thingy done at WiM and minimal adjustment made some while back and then rechecked since when I had new tyres fitted. Now I am sure their work was done perfectly, but for whatever reason my front Contis are not far from beyond a joke worn on extreme outer edges...mostly...

Have had squeaky brakes ever since I got my car. Over time all the discs and pads have been changed my MB due to wear etc. Still squeaks. Though, they do not squeak when the windows are closed ;-)

18" rims on mine and super precise. But, since I got Continentals all round the tyre wear on the extreme outer edges of the fronts is....dire. To put it mildly.

Unless the new MAP has failed...I have nothing, sorry. Suppose possible loose connection someplace.
