Had this just over a month ago on my CLS, both my rears had corrosion and one had fractured at the join to the flexi. This then decided to drain all my fluid over the drive, I had just finished my 67mile motorway comutte too. To say I was lucky was an under statement.

I've been Interested in one for a bit due to the mileage of my commute to work, seems a mine field as what best to get.

Thanks for reply fella, I was going to get the Eibach springs but wanted to know which spring plates were fitted. I shall be ordering either H&Rs or the Eibach's next week.

Litcan91, did you drop 30mm at the front and 25mm at the rear and what size spring shim did you use? I'm going to order mine this week but unsure to get the H&R or Eibach spring.

I'm asking about springs as I've had new front springs and after 2k miles it still sits to high at the front. It's never sat high since I've owned the car. The Merc indie has said there the correct springs for my car and there Merc springs that were fitted.

Sorry I should have said, I don't have air rear suspension.

Who's lowered there W219 CLS and what springs did you use?

Out of interest how do I stand if I go back and complain, I've done over 1k miles so they should have settled by now. I have is pic's of my car from when polishing etc to show him the arch gap, he could say though that the springs and spacer he's fitted are correct.

I will have to ring Monday and ask, he new all about the colour code and spec etc. My arch gap was always equal around the car, not nose high. I appreciate my front springs were weak, hence why one snapped but the arch gap was still equal.

They were supplied and fitted by M.B specialist in Blackpool. The guy running the garage is Ex-MB Blackpool and was there Chief Tech. My car has never been nose high as it were, but always sat nice, if you know what I mean. The size of the rubber spacer is almost the amount it sits to high...

As I've said before, is there a way of checking if the cars been mapped? Out of interest, does the gearbox react different with this code, as im sure mine was a little smoother after my airflow sensor was replaced and the error cleared. And another thing, while i have the airflow bank 1 fault...

Hi Biltas, There are no engine check lights on my car what so ever.

Ok, so next question is, how can I find if it's been mapped? I have a raft of history but no invoices regarding any map. Another thing is, when the dealer changed it and the fault cleared would this happen with a map or does it have to re-learn/teach the ecu and then the fault will reoccur.

And were both cars mapped or standard?

I have no info as to the car being mapped or not. When the dealers changed the airflow sensors it did seem to go better so I'd suspect something is throwing this code but as to what I don't know. Like I say, the car goes well and I see a steady 46+mpg on my motorway commute at 60mph...
