Good evening, I’m looking for somewhere to rebuild my 320 SL gearbox locally the south east. We thought it was the torque converter but the garage believe it’s the gearbox. Never had one fail before. Is £2400 reasonable to rebuild and refit?

R129 320SL 1999 Auto FSH to include main dealer and specialists Very clean example but don’t expect concourse as she is 22 years old now. Hard too and stand included. MOT until July 2022. Major service and gearbox oil service 18 months ago. Happy to answer any questions and have any inspection...

£712 for a hood at monsooncarhoods £1250 at carhoodwarehouse fitted.... May have to get the needle and thread out for now 😂

My soft top rear window is in great condition but the stitching has begun to come away on one side, I’ve messaged Cayman in Redhill but wanted to know if anyone has any experience of a company local to Sussex. I’ve also asked for a price to replace for a new soft top.

Changed the speaker material over the last two days on my R129

I had the same issue, my speaker cover material was filthy from 20 years of people getting in and out catching it with there shoes. I changed the drivers side today, passengers will be done tomorrow. Simple to do and relaxing job. The photos don’t do the material colour justice as it looks...

Looking for an old SE of SEL to add to the garage. Really would like a a mint low mileage car but anything considered. Right money for the correct car.

Taken the unit apart and going to clean it all up. I need to test the motor somehow to see if it’s still working and then I’ll put the aerial back together. The mast seems to also have one section stuck fast and won’t extend. I’ll try and soak it and do a bit of googling.

I’ve recently just had quotes for my two cars. My previous insurer elephant reduced my renewal premium by £1.18!! Thanks... So obviously I went online and checked around.. Esure came up best for me this time with multicar policy, I also rang them up to ask a question but it worked out cheaper...

I also had an old 190e that I sold several years ago. She’s still MOTD and on the toad, was immaculate inside but the paintwork look liked someone had washed it with a Brillo pad close up.
