P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

I have a C220 CDI with OM646. Around 5 months ago I had the same problem, EML was coming and going, and sometimes I had a rough idle. I was told that the camshaft position sensors themselves never fail, but I was getting the P0340 code. A new sensor is £30 from the dealer and takes a second...

Yea, worth a shot - especially since you have the part available. Let us know how you get on.

    W210 E320 CDI Issues

I replaced the camshaft sensor. Symptoms were intermittent EML (which would disappear again after 3 engine restarts then not come back for a week or two). Also the engine would run rough occasionally after firing it up, for around 5 seconds. Had the engine wobble very occasionally - usually...

    W210 E320 CDI Issues

Could it be symptomatic of a failing crankshaft sensor? I had an intermittent camshaft sensor a couple of months ago - problems solved when I swapped it for a new one. I had previously been told that those sensors don't fail.

    Have I got dpf fitted

Regarding the soot - yes this most likely means you don't have a DPF. You can check your vin on a vin decoder web site - if you have one it'll usually list it as "diesel particulate filter". I have a 2009 C220 sport and I don't have a DPF.

    w204 722.6 ATF flush

I'm just looking to unequivocally determine which line is coming back with 'cooled' fluid, and therefore the one to disconnect. ;) I also would like to hear anyones experience of having coolant gushing out of one of those lines with the 'spherical union' end :D

    w204 722.6 ATF flush

Hey guys I have read through BlackC55's DIY on doing the 722.6 flush which is great - however I am still a little confused about draining my TC. I have been reading some conflicting advice. I have taken two photos from under my car. The first photo shows the banjo bolt coming back from cooler...

    W203 - C200 CDI - Limping

Hi - I bought a 2004 C200 CDI auto (with newer style interior) around 3/4 weeks ago. Since then it has been an uphill battle :( When I got it I soon discovered that it was very smokey, and it would go into limp mode almost every time it was driven for more than 10 minutes. I cleaned the EGR...
