I have a 2012 180 c class estate , the problem i have is 2 times now i have got in the car and drove off to notice that the heating is not switched on i have tried turning it on but the panel is just blank , if i stop the car get out and lock it up and come back a few minutes later start the car...

i bought my 2012 c class around 5 months ago from a mb dealer , now my service indicator shows that in 600 miles it is due a b service which will cost around £500 i have done around 8000 miles since i bought the car , my question is should they have serviced the car before i bought it . cheers

Could anybody tell me if the temp gauge on the dash should stay still when the car is up to temp please , reason i ask is mine gets to around 80 degrees which is half way which sounds about right then it starts to fluctuate between 80 and 60 . This has been going on for a couple of months now ...
