Hi Disappointing to hear this I had my C180 serviced (B service) there in Aug, they called and said the rear break pads needed changing. I accepted what they said, now wondering if possibly I have been had. They even corrected the service intervals using STAR which previous garage had messed up.

To update all (thank you for the valuable information) The service was done at DDR Surrey, contacted them to explain the issue and ask what oil was used, they confirmed that it was 229.5. The Digital Service Record confirms the same. DDR confirm that they entered in ASSYST 229.5 also and...

So the issue will be if 9,000 miles are done before the year is over, you end up doing the service early. How ever if it was 15,000 miles (as I thought it was) and 12 months comes first then no issue. Hence knowing what is correct.
