Yes it's classed as an 80 litre tank but because of the room needed for the expansion of LPG it will really only hold around 63 litres. Anyway for a full tank of gas I get around 250 miles. That's around 18mpg and with petrol costing 1.8 times more expensive than LPG it works out the equivalent...

i have my w210 e55 converted to LPG done over 50k mies on it with zero problems at all stills sounds like an AMG and goes exactly the same on gas and petrol

nice colour:p im getting around 18-20 mpg around town and on a long run i can get around 25-27 mpg

ive never got 250 miles for £50 out of my e55 more like 190-200

had a look around an E500 last month which had a prins system fitted. it ran perfect, exactly the same on gas as on petrol the conversion cost £2150

It just needs a little patients to find the right one When i got my E55 W210. I had been looking for about six months for a good one. I then managed to find a 1998 model with only 48k miles on it. I also cant find any rust on it. But this maybe due to it being garaged for the last 5 years or...

can anyone confirm that a sprintbooster will work on a 1998 E55. I was under the impression that the difference between 1998/1999 and 2000/2001 E55's was only cosmetic differences

got it done in the Mercedes main dealers in the end. Only cost £146 all in so a good price and definitely well worth it and the box feels alot smoother all round

Certainly pleased with more performance. But it does feel a little bit more jerky in traffic being in first gear instead of second. Haven't got the courage to turn it back into W mode in case the dam thing sticks again :crazy:

This is a great post I have had the same problem with my E55 since i bought it a few months ago. But it never occurred to me that the s/w switch was not working. To be honest with never having a Mercedes before I thought that there must be very little difference between the S and W modes...
