Sounds like your head gasket or head is damaged because of a failed water pump. The noises your hearing could be exhaust gasses pressuring your coolant system. I’d get some quotes to fix it, It might not be as bad as you think, in my experience dealing with warranties and arguing with garages...

I did a similiar thing sold a C220 and wanted a facelift W204 C63 saloon. I read posts that said you needed the AMG diff that doesn’t come as standard on the PPP cars facelifted and wanted the performance pack that had full MBSH and from a dealer with the two year warranty just for peace of mind...

The reason why they are able to rev higher is nothing to do with putting them together more carefully. Its usually the design i.e. having a flat plane crank against a cross-plane crank. Thats why they burble.... lovely....

Is that correct there’s no oil pressure switch? I’ve never had anything that doesn’t have a pressure switch.
