Would you let your mrs drive your C63?

Putting my dear wife on the insurance of my C63 (W204) dropped the premium so that worked well. As regards letting her drive the beast, of course, but when it returns the mpg from the last journey is sub 15 so I know she is pushing my baby. However, fair game since she has to put up with me...

C63 AMG W204 Exhaust Tips Discouloured

Sorry for the silence chaps, just can't stop driving the machine :-) This is such an amazing car. Only yesterday I had a young boy and a post man say to me 'nice car'. The c63As for the chrome tips, my gut feel is the coating has been worn away - which is a shame since £1,400 for new rear...

C63 AMG W204 Exhaust Tips Discouloured

Thanks for the rapid feedback guys. Autosol, brush, etc, but nothing works. I will post and picture over the weekend to get your thoughts on a warranty claim. It does look like the chrome finish has simply been removed from a portion of the exhaust tips - possibly a liquid but that takes some...

Grinding noise at low speed - e280CDI

OK, just to end the story Garage cannot find the source of the noise. Great. In fact the mechanic said he would not have picked it up if I had not said anything. Well that's how silky smooth Mercs are mate Suggested diagnosis was wait until it gets a lot worse and then we investigate again.

Grinding noise at low speed - e280CDI

Sorry not Statman - Stratman As an additional note when I went to my local Mercedes Garage for the gearbox service kit they said I only needed 6 litres of oil - wrong. In fact you need 9. When I questioned the response the stores man said you do not have to drain the torque converter - we...
