    CLS350, circa 2011 - what should I know?

Considering buying a CLS as a run-around, what should I be aware of when viewing? Doubt I'll find much with less than 100k miles on but appreciate will be getting a bit 'leggy'....

Went in for new tyres and alignment and left with nothing

My local Kwik-Fit is worse than useless - twice now it’s been in to realign my steering wheel after a rather large pothole/wheel interface and twice they’ve manage to make it worse than before. Unfortunately as a company car Kwik-Sh!t are the appointed tyre dealers and they will not let M-B...

    2017 C-Class & Samsung S7 - not loading e-mails/sms anymore

I’ve a 2017 C-class and an S7 - I’ve never had the mail function working but not had a problem so far with SMS? Wish the car came with Android Auto and Apple Car Play rather than Comand - use that in my wife’s Tiguan and all works perfectly.......

    Diesel MOT emissions test.

They run the engine up to the limiter for a period of time - if the timing belt (if fitted to your engine) is weak it could fail and trash the engine....

Do run flats protect alloys from damage?

I think its the big rubber run flat lump inside the tyre that probably damaged my rims, transferred the shock straight to the rim rather than the tyre absorbing the majority.

Do run flats protect alloys from damage?

I’d agree with this - I hit a pothole and not only did it ruin both front tyres but also buckled both the rims.....

    C350e Newbie

Regarding the hands-free boot, if it's anything like mine you'll end up spending more time kicking the rear undertray trying to make it work than it would to put your shopping down and touch the button!

    Watch advice please

I've owned and worn a selection of what I'd call half-decent watches over the years including Tag Heuer, Rolex and Omega - all are lovely in their own right however my daily wearer since yr 2000 has been my Omega Seamaster Professional, doubt I'll ever get rid of it. Only thing that keeps...

    C350e owners club

Oh I get that 100% - I run a 300h (diesel hybrid as I commute 120 miles per day) and get around 60mpg vs. 74mpg but am happy with that. No way I'd run a 350e as it would cost me a bomb in petrol however once they get Tesla kind of range then I'll make the switch....

    C350e owners club

Interesting article I've just seen on fuel consumption claims - C350e doesn't stand up well - 98% of hybrid cars don't meet official fuel economy figures | PetrolPrices.com

new w205 auto box issues and others

The gearbox in my C300h (7G+) was rubbish until the software update. Not brilliant still now but a hell of a lot better..... Wish it had a DSG box.

    Breakdown cover

In the days of running my own cars i always used Autoaid, just signed my son up to them too. Never once had a problem with their service and if i ever own my own car again I’d certainly use them again.

Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Whilst talking bike plates then I did have V60 FAC, was on a Aprilia RSV-R Factory. V60 being the engine configuration (60 degree V) and FAC being the Factory model
