In my post that you quote I ask the question as to whether the triple lock exists because pensioners are more likely to be tory voters. So you are wrong, I dont claim anything. It is however a fact that pensioners are more likely to vote tory than any other demographic. Maybe it's a coincidence.

Where was I "bashing the tory's"? The original poster pointed out that neither the tory or Labour parties will confirm the continued use of the triple lock, and I haven't mentioned party politics at all. So please do tell.

There are of course people that game the system, I would personally rather live in a country that didn't leave a large and growing percentage of the population in poverty because of it though.

People on benefits don't have a triple lock to increase their income by the rate of inflation plus 2% so why pensioners? Could it be because pensioners are more likely to vote tory?
