There’s no grooving of the discs, well none I can feel. The light rusting is after I’d washed it and left it overnight. I reckon the lip is maybe a mm. I know they’re just trying it on. I was expecting them to ask if i wanted the wiper blades changed like they did last year at the annual service.

I got a call from the dealer asking if I wanted the front discs and pads changed as the technician had highlighted them as worn and rusted and listed them as an MOT advisory. Car has covered 18k , I politely declined their kind offer to keep me safer on the road.

Well, after half a dozen or so starts it appears to have fixed itself, strange though.

Can’t help but mine has just developed the same fault. Started it today and the red steering wheel error is on the dashboard, no power steering. Thankfully it’s still under warranty, will phone Merc tomorro.

Tried it the other day, they will fold in below 20mph and stay folded until opened out again, no matter the speed.

Hmm, maybe I didn’t hold the button in for long enough , it was the button in front of the mirror buttons. Will try it again , both under 8mph and at higher speed. Thanks guys.

Is it possible to fold the mirrors in while driving on tight country roads ? I tried it today but they didn’t fold, not sure if there is a way to do it though ? 2019 E400 coupe for ref.

Success 😀 Thanks to all who suggested various methods. In the end I loosened the bolts, jacked the car up and dropped it quickly on the jack, did this a few times. I then jacked it up and tried the donkey kicking, both with my back to the wheel and sitting on a small stool facing the wheel...

If you google pics of the Von Haus , the DAS 6 and the one above you’ll see that they are Very similar, if not the same , certainly from the external view

I’m looking for some advice on how to remove the front wheels from my car. I’ve loosened the bolts and hit the tyre from under the car with a 7lb hammer but they are refusing to budge , any tips other than take it to a garage ?

Mine cured itself after a few weeks, never got round to taking it to the garage. Each time I used it it would be a bit better. I think it happened after the car sat for a few weeks and the brakes seized on with the wet discs. I knew if I put it into Merc they’d say it was a warranty issue.

Was driving back home from Edinburgh last Saturday, lovely sunny day, not in any hurry , just enjoying the drive. I stuck to the 30s, 40s and 50 limits, cruise on probably 60 ish on the dual carriageway. E400D coupe , 89 miles at average speed of 48mph returned 60.1mpg !
