I tried to upload photo but its not having it, the rubber seal is connected to the plastic panel at the top of the engine area where the battery cover is and also where the wiper arm fits to the body well ok i can show it as an avatar.

Hi the rubber seal that runs along the bottom of the windscreen is cracked and falling apart, is this a part that is a simple DIY repair and if so is it a dealer part only? Thanks

Thanks, This is the first car I've had with xenons, can xenons be replaced just like you would h7 bulbs?

So my auxiliary battery failed and was driving for a week without it, and in the time it took to replace i never noticed any difference, does actually do any thing or is it just to boost the main battery? Also after driving my partners new golf then going back to my car I noticed just how poor...

I have just noticed a red led flashing under the central locking unlock button on the dash, is this something to be concerned with? thanks Sean

well after thinking how great the heater is because of the heater element after a few miles it blows cold

I have the battery warning light on the dash, checked my main battery charge by pressing the reset button and no problem with the main battery so suspect the auxiliary battery is at fault, but I dont seem to have any loss of functions

The button for the direction control has 12 settings (the one controlled by the mode button) not just your usual feet, body, head and windscreen. Yes all the other buttons are more or less the same as any other car,

This is the first time I've had to use my heater since getting the car last spring, the other day I drove around 40 mile and it was still blowing cold even when i increased the temp to 26, had a little fiddle about with the 12 point control dial, (why on earth did MB make it so complicated) and...

well just got the car back last week, the fumes in the cab were due to a blown gasket on the turbo and the juddering was due to a faulty turbo actuator. new turbo well recon turbo and all new gaskets and it drives like a dream.

My local dealer are not that great, I think its due to the age of the car they just didnt seen interested. I deal with MB every day at work and totally different attitude from them when reporting breakdowns and faults on brand new HGV's But if you could help Richard that would be great

Thanks but not interested in having to pay to find the colour of the trim. Will wait until i speak with one of the peeps in Maastricht next time i pass work their way

It's a 2005 model, the wood trim is on the arm rest buttons, I was thinking of picking a black armrest up off eBay and trying to swap the buttons over if I can't find one to match
