Well.......it was the rack. New rack fitted (new rod ends while it was in too) and the problem is cured, less then £450 all in! Money I would rather have spent on toys for the van and not repairs though! Disappointing when its on a 14 plate with only 48k on it!

On a shorter journey my MPG is lower but that stands to reason, but do kinda wish I'd stretched for the V6! However with the lower fuel returns and the temptation to use that power it's probably best I didn't! The quietness is something that annoys me about the 2.1, it does sound very commercial...
