I bought Coma AQM mineral in the end, it was quite a task, but i could not find anyone who said not to use it in the end. It is the Coma equivalent of dexron 11.

I have the same dilemma. I bought a very good W202, low owners, service history, leather and paint very good etc, but the gearbox is no good. I was hoping that i could pick up one from a scrapper for £150, but that is not the case, most people are asking £500 and it does not seem a very easy job...
