That was probably the best explanation of the mild hybrid/EQ Boost that I’ve read. Thanks for posting. And no, you cannot drive only on battery power, but it will cut the engine as it glides to a halt or when in Eco mode and the engine isn’t required to maintain road speed.

Today was a sad day. I no longer own a C350e. I had two years of very pleasant driving in my first Merc with a really nice car. Unfortunately, the plug-in hybrid is totally incompatible with living in Camden and having no off-street parking, nor an ability to charge at work. She was beautiful...
