So I finally got round to taking gearbox out today, ended up with a copy of EPC and WIS which confirmed 627 gearbox, take the box out and it’s a 618

That could be the case as I was getting the absent message as well My VIN is WDB2083442T095358 if anyone can narrow it down

Looked it up on the EPC on nemigaparts.com gives 2 options but if there is a more thorough EPC out there that will pinpoint it exactly I can gladly post vin number

looking for a 6 speed manual box for a 2001 CLK200K I believe the correct box is a 716.622; unless anyone knows if any of the other 6 speed boxes will fit I know that the 605 box doesn’t which is unfortunate as there is tons of them up for auction

Internal ratios are different I believe from what I can find on the web, which doesn’t bother me at all, it’s just whether the box will physically fit and keep the car moving whilst I repair the original. A lot of boxes available are part 716.605 , and mine will wither be 716.618 or 716.622...

Hi all, hoping someone with some knowledge can help, I have a 2001 CLK manual, that intermittently ( if not very time ) drops out of first gear back to neutral, so it’s gear box out time , I want to keep this car on the road whilst I strip the box down in my own time so... Are all C class boxes...
