CLK W208 Got the old brake light switch out. Cant get the new one in, reason cant see what Im doing and trying to work with left hand. Anyone found a easy way of fitting this ? Can you take the instrument cluster out to see easier? If so hows it come out?

I I have a clk 320 convertible for summer/fun use. Plus you still have room in the boot with the top down, also room to put things inside (rear) under the wind deflector. Its an old car that can see a lot of newer stuff the way down the road.
