    Hold function lost

Funny you should say Thermostat... my car never gets up to 90 (indicated on the gauge) always hovering around 80 or lower. Got a new one to throw in when I have some time.

    Hold function lost

Just to report back - I've changed both batteries and the voltage sensor on the battery and still no hold or stop/start feature working. I don't use SS so not bothered about that, but the HOLD feature i do miss! Two codes are brought up still - Must be something to do with the rear SAM...

    Hold function lost

Hi - did you every get this sorted? I have the exact same issues.... I replaced both the main and aux battery as they were the original 10 year old ones. I've got the following code U113E00 - Communication with the battery sensor has a malfunction. I'm thinking of replacing the battery...

    Reversing camera not woring

I've read about this before, go into the engineering menu in the comand system and disable the camera. Cycle the ignition a few times so the comand unint goes through the boot process and then re enable it again. Failing that, it could be a loose connection somewhere.

    Retro fit W204 reversing camera

For anyone else wishing to do this - If you have a comand fitted, this is fairly straight forward. I got myself a replacement boot handle with intregated camera kit (£20) and a Fakra adaptor cable to plumb it into the comand unit. The estate is tricky as you need to dismantle the paneling in...

    Retrofit CarPlay

Hi all, Just wondering anyone who has on fitted is getting on with it? I am thinking about getting one myself and fit it. Did anyone fit one themselves? Was it a tricky install? I'm experienced with the spanners and taking the trim apart in the W204, but just wondering if anyone had any tips...

Wildly different figures/claims when remapping an E350 CDI

I had my C350 remapped by MSL last week including DPF soloution. Car made 335bhp and has greatly improved the driveability of it. The torque is addictive and makes motorway driving even more effortless. I swear the gearbox is happier and I've found it is less likley to pointlessly shiftdown...

Mercedes CLS / E Class Brembo Calipers (344mm)

I have a pair of CLS / E Class Brembo Calipers for sale. taken off a 2016 CLS 350, these Calipers also fit the E class. Calipers are in good condition and the pads are a third worn and have plenty life left. I also have the 344mm CLS rotors that have no lip and have plenty of meat left on...

w204 C Class Brake Caliper Upgrade

R172 SLK 250 CDI AMG A 207 421 00 94 is the carrier part number A 207 421 00 81 caliper part numbers A 207 421 01 81 The carriers and caliper both have 344 on them as they do look the same, but side by side the 344 setup is bigger.

w204 C Class Brake Caliper Upgrade

No, the calipers and carriers are different, they just share the same pad size.

w204 C Class Brake Caliper Upgrade

They work well enough, but for a car with a 'sport pack' applied, they don't half look daft behind 18" wheels. The 322mm setup is acceptable, but as the 344mm setup is a bolt on swap, it only took me 2 hours to swap them over and bleed. The pads between the 322mm and 344mm setups are the same also!

w204 C Class Brake Caliper Upgrade

Holy thread revival! As I could not find the answer to the question to the above anywhere... I did my own research and ploughed on and got a pair of SLK 250 calipers, 344x32 discs and went about upgrading the brakes on my C350. The original 322mm setup is totally fine - I just think they look...

    722.9 Auto Gearbox issue *Juddering*

Just to update and close this thread, After getting the Gearbox serviced, the issue went away...for a while. It returned and gradually got worse to the point that every journey was horrid. I booked the car in again with a specialist, but due to Covid-19 the wait for a slot was a few weeks...

    Goodyear F1 Assymetric 3 update

The thing is, people compare their new tyres to worn out ones, so you're traction/turn in/ wet weather handling is going to be better on the new boots? or Maybe they're that much better!? Point i'm trying to make is the Asy 5's are good - very good

    Goodyear F1 Assymetric 3 update

I'm a great fan of Goodyear Asy tyres. I've been using them for years and have ran Asy 2, 3 and now 5's on the 350. Never got below 20k miles from a set, mixed driving....often spirited.... I've wanted to try Michellin Pilot Sport, but could never justify the extra £30-£40 per tyre and now...

    722.9 Auto Gearbox issue *Juddering*

A very sensible plan - my car is a keeper for the foreseeable, so my next change will be done in 4 years/40k miles for sure!

    722.9 Auto Gearbox issue *Juddering*

Yes should have said in my post, I did get it serviced. They said that they personally recommend that the 7g gets serviced every 4 years/40k miles. My car was bang on 40k miles since the last change, so to me it was a no brainier to get it done while already on the ramps. certainly is shifting...
