Rear shock on passenger needed replacing so that sorted out suspension. I won the bid at auction for £8500. My max bid was £9500. So if it cost me abit to get it fixed then so be it. Paintwork also needs attention but Iv got a good body shop I use to sort that.

Any ideas on how to test for an intake leak on these engines

Scanned with icarsoft. Code p0235 Saying short to ground. So now I’m thinking it must be something with the wiring. Or corroded pins somewhere. Plug into map sensor all looked fine. When I get the live data from the map sensor it fluctuates at idle between 390-412mb.

Hi there It was me who actually bought this car. We got 5mins down the road and the car started bucking like crazy and then the low fuel light came on. Filled it up with Tesco 99 ron. Started back up fine. Drove another 15 mile and car started dying again as soon as the throttle was used past...

It was a faulty map sensor that I fitted. Changed it now car seems 90% better. Going to change the faulty o2 sensor next and hopefully trouble free motoring for a bit.

Iv had bad o2 sensors on cars in the past and they have never run this bad. Iv got a replacement map sensor coming as I got a feeling the one I fitted is faulty. If that doesn’t fix it it will be going in to a garage. Iv read that a faulty map sensor can sometimes through a code for o2 sensors.

Would that be drivers side or as you look at engine from front

Just scanned again with a snapon scanner It came back. Bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor. And also map sensor. Now Iv also noticed that me eml doesn’t eluminate when ignition is turned on. So I recon it’s been programmed off.

I fitted a Bosch map sensor. Which I think is oeM. It was scanned with a generic obd reader. To be honest it used to run fine when cold and only started playing up when warm. But sometimes it would run fine for a day and then the next day would be bogging down again on anything over 10%...
