have you tried holding the key an extra time to start the engine ? the hybrid will be active when turning the key but if you hold the key for longer it should start the engine if that makes sense.

only way you will ever know is to get it completed on a rolling road so you have before and after firgures.

check with mercedes if you have a battery problem. the warranty is 62k or 6 years i think (it's worth checking) failing that find out your battery number and have a look on ebay you can pick them up for just under 1K a lot cheaper than 13k for a new one.

that is very true luckily for myself i have a brand new 7 year or 62k warranty on the battery now which in terms of re sale will give someone confidence i would have thought. Also i have the latest technology battery so hopefully it should be reliable. As for what was really wrong with the car...

Last update from me on this matter. I've had the car back just over a week and completed some long motorway journeys and to my total amazement It's 100% fixed and was the battery all along.

I've had issues with my 2014 E300 recently after it being bullet proof for the last two years of ownership. Turned out to be a faulty battery but came up with nothing on and scan apart from gearbox issues, it took Mercedes technical in Portugal, UK and finally Germany to sort the issue even...

it seems to be using the battery a lot more than i remember it did before. it certainly charges up much quicker when driving that's for sure.

Well I collected my car back yesterday the battery came and was fitted much sooner than expected. It has been tested by the dealer and they are confident it's all fixed. We will see next week as I have a couple of long distance trips to do.

Especially as the last time they came out it showed a gearbox fault and always told me that on my display and the Hybrid never showed anything other than green, but I'm not complaining give me new warranty on the battery.
