    I've been screwed.

The saga is over. Received confirmation my final offer has been accepted. Rather than the inflated price of the last house for sale £155,000 I got it for around the price of the first sale (a year and a half ago) of the eight houses £140,000. Not the cheeky offer I was told to put in. But I'll...

I think that cooler is for diesel. But I've made my mind up she's going. No point in spending good money after bad. I fear it will be something else next month.

I replaced the radiator last year.

Think I will be scrapping my car. Last MOT advisory for rust on rear subframe. Now this. It will be more money than the car is worth to fix.

    I've been screwed.

DSM yes I have been to two solicitors. The one I put my official cheeky bid in with has suggested I should now put in a bid of £155,000 and the second thought it would be difficult. By that I would expect expensive if I lose. If it had not been for this bloody covid I could have spoken to those...

    I've been screwed.

Unfortunately two months notice if I go down this way. As I have a short assured tenancy. I copied this from Shelter Scotland. "Make sure you find out why you are being evicted. For example, your landlord may ask you to leave because: your tenancy is coming to an end (the amount of time...

    I've been screwed.

Bellow, I have decided that I have taken this as far as I can. Time is running out due to age constraints on the Mortgage. I now think the best I can get out of this is the price of the first house £140,000 or worst case, which, I fear it will be of the latest price of £155,000.

    Unfortunately right.

    I've been screwed.

Moved when they got the Sheriff officers notice to quit over a year ago. So the only rent coming in from the eight houses was mine. Which also fooled me into thinking I was getting something knocked off. But as others have said I am a fool for believing them. I was the only original tenant. The...

    I've been screwed.

I honestly thought that they were giving me some sort of reduction. The housing manager had been talking to the Estates director about the reduction so I had no reason to disbelieve. Yes, I have been full and truly stung. Let this be a lesson to others. "Get it down in writing." The government...

    I've been screwed.

I have no problem with them getting the best value. But when the told me I would get something off, wait over a year, then the price goes up. A charity should be honest. At the very least, they should go back to the price the first of the 8 houses were sold for. Morally wrong, Legally right and...

I also wonder if Scotland still had right to buy if that would have carried any weight. But that ones long but gone.

    I've been screwed.

Yes I was forced into a new lease. The CAB said there was enough evidence to support that view 15 years ago. I've also resigned myself into paying the asking price. I just hope that the LIFT scheme accepts the buy.

    I've been screwed.

In Scotland the survey is done by the seller. If I had not required a government LIFT scheme (they help with up to 40%) I would not have needed a survey as I am the tenant of the property. The university new all this over a year ago when they spoke to me.

Just had the home survey done today. The surveyor thinks it will be the end of the week for the write up.

    I've been screwed.

This bloody pandemic does not help either for face to face discussions. If I go to the press it will be after the house is bought and I am retired. But by then, I will probably have cooled down. Can't really afford to lose either.

    I've been screwed.

If only I could turn the clock back. I hope they have an ounce of sympathy and let me buy for the first selling price of £140,000. But I am scared that they may take the approach of tough you have to bid with the rest.
